Welcome to the new year. Resolutions are in the making, 30-day challenges are in full swing, and the mantra is “new year, new you.”

Yet, most of us have given in to our old ways two weeks into the new year. While a new year can be a good time to wipe the slate clean, the date change has never been enough for me to change.

That’s where thoughtful goals can be a game changer. Not only do they keep us from complacency, they’re the foundation of our hopeful future selves.

Yet, the challenge is sticking to the habits that will manifest our goals.

It’s much easier, though, with a few tools for creating goals and refining routines to establish new habits. (One of which is social support – community members share tips that have helped them in their journeys.)
